Welcome to The Newbery Project

The Newbery Project is a tiny online book club for grownups (and kids) who appreciate great children’s literature.

Each month, we aim to read one medal winner or honour book from America’s prestigious Newbery Medal Award, leaping backwards through the decades five years at a time. This year so far, we’ve enjoyed books from 2017, 2012, 2007, 2002, 1997, 1992, 1987, 1982, and 1977. Next year we’ll start with a 2018 winner and work our way backwards again.
